Objectives and Outline

This workshop provides you with the chance to explore issues relating to these vital topics and to understand more about building diversity into the workplace and integrating its principles into service/client delivery. 

In addition, it has a specific focus on the public sector duties and how these can be met whilst also exploring the practical and positive use of new legislation/guidance including developing an approach for equality analysis and reducing bureaucracy.

The workshop provides a creative and interactive-based style, enabling you to be open and discuss ideas in a supportive and experienced environment.

The workshop provides you with opportunities to explore:

  • Legal Issues - concise information on your legal responsibilities & duties, including new approaches with equality analysis/tools/thinking
  • Service Delivery - exploring connections between discrimination, assumptions and stereotypes to improve delivery of services, contracts
  • Employees/Stakeholders - harnessing and promoting a diverse workplace culture
  • Impact Assessments/Equality Analysis - practical exercises, tips and techniques for assessing, implementing and monitoring

You will take away tools to:
  • Keep challenging - your strategic direction and resources
  • Verify - tools to monitor your diversity focus and impact
  • Keep up to date - with relevant legislation & changes in thinking

Our Facilitators

Our facilitators are very experienced in this topic, with extensive equality and diversity knowledge and experience, delivering programmes and advice to a range of local, national and other voluntary/public sector organisations.  The workshop environment will be welcoming, engaging and comfortable. You will be encouraged to share ideas and challenges in a supportive and stimulating setting.
