Tesco Head Office get boggy to support nature trail

Wednesday 14th July 2010, Tesco head office staff building a much needed nature trail at Broxbourne Primary School

A 120 strong team from the Corporate & Legal Affairs department at Tesco, joined the staff at Broxbourne Primary School in Broxbourne on 14th July to create a much needed Nature Trail. The project was part of Tesco's commitment to local community initiatives and was chosen as it is close the Tesco Cheshunt head office. Staff left their desks for the day, accepted the challenge and spent the day clearing, building and trailing!

The project between Tesco staff and Broxbourne Primary School is part of a project to develop the school's outdoor learning programme. The school has 245 pupils between the ages of 4-11 years, who have been unable to use a large part of the school's outside space due to it being overgrown and unsafe. The nature trail development will encourage the students to learn about all different aspects of nature. ã€€

The whole team had lots of fun and a real sense of achievement at the end of the day."
