Tesco Head Office get boggy to support nature trail
The project between Tesco staff and Broxbourne Primary School is part of a project to develop the school's outdoor learning programme. The school has 245 pupils between the ages of 4-11 years, who have been unable to use a large part of the school's outside space due to it being overgrown and unsafe. The nature trail development will encourage the students to learn about all different aspects of nature.
The before...
Lucy Neville-Rolfe, Board Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs at Tesco said, "Tesco has always been committed to playing its part in the community - we were really keen to help Broxbourne school with their nature trail. The whole team had lots of fun and a real sense of achievement at the end of the day."
Nicci Statham, Founder of Get Connected commented, "Get Connected exists to promote local responsible business and as part of this engages a range of local employers in community projects that are really beneficial to communities. The willingness and commitment from the school and this Tesco team was truly admirable - they both were so willing to support each other and as a result achieved such a lot in a few hours! This is a fantastic example of how businesses can make a huge impact by working in partnership in their local communities."
