Tesco Team do much needed makeover for Herts Mind well being centre

17 staff from Tesco's Trading Law & Technical team joined the staff and volunteers at Herts Mind Network on 8th February 2012 to do a large makeover at the charity's Hemel Hempstead well-being centre.

The day was part of Tesco's commitment to local community initiatives. Staff left their desks for the day, accepted the daunting challenge and spent the day moving and painting!

The project between Tesco staff and the charity was to complete much needed redecoration of the charity's Hemel Hempstead well-being centre.  The work completed by the Tesco team was part of the charity's plan to brighten and bring life to the centre - enabling their clients to benefit from a much more calm & relaxed atmosphere.

The project included painting over 11 rooms - even whilst some activities were still going on!  The charity had been waiting nearly two years to complete the project and now will use a small pot of funding to complete the project - replacing some of the worn and outdated carpet and furnishings.  

They worked so hard, so quickly...

With this calm and relaxed result...
