Tesco & Springmead Primary School

October 2010, Tesco Staff go wading for a Wewyn Garden City school challenge!

15 staff from Tesco's International Sourcing team joined the staff/students at Springmead Primary School on 19th October to complete some much needed pond planting and garden revamping. The team arrived prepared for all weathers and raring to go!

The project between Tesco staff and Springmead, was another project completed by this dedicated department at Tesco. The school had recently had their pond dug and layed out, however they were struggling to find the manpower to enable the pond area to be dug over and plants planted. The completion of this project creates a natural habitat for many speccies to live and develop, providing the children with a natural resource for pond dipping and speccies identification.
