Wednesday 30th March 2011, Tesco WGC head office staff restore a much needed wildlife garden at St Cross Catholic Primary School

A brave team from the Development Planning department at Tesco, joined the staff at St Cross Catholic Primary School in Hoddesdon (and in the rain!) on 30th March to restore a much needed Wildlife Garden.

The project was part of Tesco's commitment to local community initiatives. Staff left their desks for the day, travelled from far and wide to accept the challenge.  They spent the day clearing, building and path laying!

The project between the 12 Tesco staff and the school is part of a project to develop the wildlife area to enable children to access the natural environment and develop the school's outdoor learning programme. The Tesco team also restored the windows on the school barn to enable this valuable outside space to become an art studio for the children. 　

HSS Harlow kindly donated a wide range of garden and power tools for the Tesco team to use.
