Tesco & YHA Cheshunt

Tesco Head Office staff get active to support their local YHA

Thursday 8th September 2011, Tesco head office staff swiftly complete 2 much needed projects at their local youth charity YHA Cheshunt.

A fast working team from the Impulse department at Tesco, joined the staff at YHA in Cheshunt to do some digging, clearing & constructing.

The day was part of Tesco's commitment to local community initiatives. The staff left their desks for the day and work incredibly quickly to complete the two crucial projects.

The project between the 28 Tesco staff and the charity was part of a range of outdoor projects to improve the charity's outdoor environment. the team cleared very overgrown areas around the cabins and installed a seating area for an outdoor amphitheatre.

This much needed work completed by Tesco will enable the charity to effectively maintain their log cabins and hold outdoor events, including cinema screenings for young people.
